How payment works at OT Haute Couture

Every commission at our Los Angeles atelier begins with a private consultation where design, fabric and budget are discussed openly — you will know your gown's price before any work begins. A 50% deposit confirms the order, reserves your place in the production schedule, and starts fabric procurement. The remaining balance is due at your final fitting or upon delivery.

Because each gown is designed around its wearer, quotes are individual. Brides inquiring with us indicate budgets across a wide range — the design is shaped honestly to what you want to invest, and your designer will tell you plainly what is achievable at your number.

Don't forget alterations — even for off-the-rack gowns

If you're comparing a custom gown against a boutique purchase, remember that off-the-rack dresses almost always need alteration. Bridal alteration work typically runs from about $150 for basic adjustments up to $900+ for a comprehensive package with layered hemming, bodice reshaping and bustle creation. A bespoke gown is fitted to you throughout its construction — the fittings are part of the process, not an added cost at the end.
